Day 6: First snow storm then view

Good evening, dear reader,
began today on the day with a small but heavy snow showers, which is why the face masks were used once (see picture). Big White Day 5: New Snow!

in Big White Day 4: Tree runs

Today it was again announced as less snow, but also 2-5cm are nice and with the soft snow of recent days it seems as if it were even more. The view was indeed mixed, but we had a bunch of brilliant runs through the trees and forests (tree runs). The recordings with Holger's helmet camera be getting better. Big White Day 3: Freezing Fog

was last night it suddenly came out all blue sky and the sun, so we expected a day with a perfect view ... but this morning we were surprised by the extreme fog. Already in the Village and the visibility was minimal in the elevator, we could sometimes not even the chair or the bar directly in front of us recognize. Only by trees could only guess roughly where you are going and whether you are still moving. Most interesting was that the fog immediately froze and we were covered from head to foot with a white layer, every little hair was white. The lunch break was going fast and lasted unusually long, but then we started it again on the runway after we had seen on a webcam that you could see a lift something:) And it was worth it: the top was some new snow and the slopes were deserted.

Day 2 in Big White

overnight has given it a little further Afternoon Flurries and so was this morning know all wonderful. Right on time at 8:30 we were on the lift and were able to a lot of departures in fresh snow (3-10cm, depending on height) make. Much beyond the normal tracks, but the forest here so you may ride. The little snow pusher has made very noticeable on the slopes, as it was very fine powder. And today it was empty on the slopes. On average we have seen every 5-10 minutes other people if you einberechnet our tree skiing.

Canada: Travel and Day 1

Hello and greetings from Big White, located in Kelowna, British Columbia, Canada.

Yesterday morning at 9 clock was downhill for me and Holly came and thanks to the nice ride service from the home we Riess problems in Frankfurt, where we still a small parting wheat indulged, and our patience was strained during the operation very much.

The security check this time was surprisingly intense. We were waved out both because of the metal detector beeped even despite put-belt, and subjected to intensive investigation. My shoes had to then go again through the extra-ray machine, and the time was used to intensively check my soles of the feet on bombs and rockets. When I finally was allowed to continue, I was waved out because the laptop in a backpack once again and in an adjoining room, a swab of the keyboard has been evaluated in a special unit: negative ;-)

The flight was very long then (10h) and quite boring, since Air Canada deals very sparingly with the televisions. The thought for us was 5 or 6 rows in front of us ... but at the modest movies that did not matter.
